Two charged after one man is killed and others injured near Acton High Street

Two more men have been charged following a deadly incident in Acton on Sunday 8 December that left one man dead and several others injured.

Nicholi Clyne, 34, from Northolt, and Ahmed Khaleel, 31, from Camden, appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 12 December. Both face charges of violent disorder and GBH and have been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at the Old Bailey on 9 January.

Clyne was arrested on Monday, 9 December, and Khaleel the following day.

The charges stem from an investigation into a fight in Birkbeck Road, Acton, just after 4am on Sunday, 8 December, following reports of a brawl and possible gunfire.

Emergency services found Nash Clyne, 33, seriously injured at the scene. Despite their efforts, he died shortly afterwards. His family is being supported by specialist officers.

Three other people were injured during the incident, though their injuries were not life-threatening.

50-year-old Benjamin Matthews has already been charged with murder and appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court. He has also been remanded in custody.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and urging anyone with information to come forward. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was at the Front Line Cuts or Paradise Cuts barber shops on Acton High Street between 10 pm on Saturday and 4.30 am on Sunday.
