The Chiswick Calendar runs a Jazz club with Larry Pryce of Live Music To Go in the Boston Room at George IV on Chiswick High Rd. Every Thursday night, with a break in August.
Larry has been a Jazz promoter in London for 40 years, running the Dover St wine bar and then taking over the music schedule for the iconic Jazz pub, The Bull’s Head in Barnes. His little black book is a Who’s Who of Jazz musicians who either live in London or visit regularly. If you don’t recognise their names, you only have to look at the list of people they’ve played with to know how good they are.
The Boston Room is a lovely venue. The pub provides table service and you can order meals before and during the gigs. Doors open 7.00 pm, performances start at 7.30 pm.
Club Card discount
Holders of a Chiswick Calendar Club Card not only receive a discount on tickets but also get 20% off all food and drink at George IV at any time.
A word about seating
Since the introduction of Covid restrictions in 2020 we have sold tickets as tables for two or four people and banquettes for six.
We now sell tickets for individual seats as well. These are in rows beside the stage, not at a table. You can also buy individual tickets to add to tables, so you can to buy a table for two and make it up to three by buying an extra ticket, or buy a table for four and make it up to five by buying an extra ticket.
We don’t give refunds but if you find you have to isolate because of Covid we are happy to offer you a credit note for another show.
