Where to get help? St Michael & All Angels

Church services have been shut down and Church buildings are also closed to visitors. Many of the churches are live-streaming their services and organising volunteers to help people within their parish who are isolated and need support, be it emotional or practical.

Practical and emotional support

Fr Thomas Couper is organising the church’s outreach to the community in terms of practical help. He has a small team of volunteers who are able to offer phone chats and help with things like shopping and fetching medicines.

They would like to hear from anyone who needs help, whether you’re elderly or just not confident about going out. If you know someone like that who doesn’t go to church, isn’t on their radar and maybe isn’t on the internet either, put them in touch with Thomas and his team. They would also like to hear from anyone in the area who would like to join their group of helpers.

Get in touch via the parish office, open Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
