Friend thought she died from a heroin overdose

The body of a woman has been found in a doorway in Devonshire Rd in Chiswick.

The woman, who has not been identified, was found dead outside the empty shop where men’s barber Genco used to be. Her friend, who was with her, said she thought she had died of a heroin overdose.

Tyson Mercan, who owns the Urban Pantry cafe, told The Chiswick Calendar that a woman passing by had called an ambulance.

“I was trying to help. We checked the lady. Her friend said she didn’t have any pulse or heartbeat and it was obvious she was dead. I think she had been dead a while.”

When the police arrived the dead woman’s friend, who is thought to be homeless, left and the body was taken away by a black ambulance.
