Woman saved from fire in Ealing dies in hospital

Two weeks since the fire happened

A woman who was rescued from a fire at a house in Ealing earlier this month died in hospital, the London Fire Brigade has revealed.

The woman had been rescued from the ground floor of a property on Carlyle Road by fire crews wearing breathing apparatus. She was then taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews, where she later died.

The fire took place just after 6.00am on Wednesday 5 April with crews from Chiswick, Ealing and Acton fire stations attending the scene. It was brought under control in just over an hour. The cause is still under investigation.
