Work due to start on the ‘Chiswick Oasis’

Work is due to start in the next couple of weeks on the ‘Chiswick Oasis’, the wall of plants being created alongside St Mary’s RC Primary School to absorb some of the pollution from the A4.

This week the organisers have announced a partnership with Enjoy Work at Chiswick Business Park, the first of a series of partnerships and initiatives which will secure the project’s future.

Enjoy-Work, the site managers for the business park, says the business community will support the project by ‘using its expertise in the areas of waste & recycling, engineering and landscaping’.

The Business Park has a number of big oil and infrastructure companies who have their UK or European headquarters on the site, such as Haliburton, Primetals Technologies and Seadrill.

The Chiswick Oasis team are working towards a launch date in June and planning to open the school playground to community events to show off their new greenery.
